Taylor

George Nelson Taylor was a prominent Manitoban architect designing many important buildings both in Winnipeg and around the province. He lived in The Pas from 1915 to 1923 and was the town’s first architect. He drew up plans for a wharf, built a school, and the courthouse. Opening in 1916, the courthouse doubled as the town’s community hall and is the heart of the town. Today the building serves as the Sam Waller Museum.
