The Premachuks were entrepreneurs and owners of a general store. Herman and Harry were born in Russia, in 1903 and 1897 respectively, moving to Canada in 1923. Neilla was born in the Ukraine in 1911, she and Harry married and upon his death she continued with business. She met the Queen, procured animals for Walt Disney films, and received the Order of Manitoba medal, passing away in 2007.
