Reverend J.R. Settee was a Cree Anglican Priest, missionary, catechist, and school teacher who served throughout Northern Manitoba, including The Pas. A contemporary of Chief Antoine Constant, Reverend Settee forwarded Chief Constant’s 1906 letter of protest regarding the terms of reserve land surrender to the Indian Commissioner.
