Jean-Baptiste Dorian was a Métis voyageur who worked for the Hudson Bay Company in the early 19th century. He married Therese Constant, who was also Métis, at The Pas and then lived in various small communities around Northern Manitoba including Cumberland House. His descendants have since settled in many Northern communities including The Pas, Moose Lake, and Pukatawagan.
