Cook

The Cook family are long-time members of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation, serving both in the band’s politics as well as in their churches. When The Pas Band was recognized in 1871 by Treaty No. 5, councillors James Cook Sr. and Donald Cook Sr. were amongst those who signed. The Cooks also played a significant role in the religious life of community serving as reverends and church wardens.
