Main Gallery

The permanent exhibits of our Main Gallery interpret the rich history of The Pas and area. Beginning with the geological formations of the region through to First Nations history, the fur trade, Métis history, the mission period, and into the industrial age of the last century, the exhibits describe a diverse and fascinating community. Recent history has included the steamboat era, agriculture, mining, the railway, aviation, lumbering, fishing, trapping, and local business. Our exhibits also highlight some of the many community events held through the years, most notably the Northern Manitoba’s Trappers’ Festival.
